The ZF ASTRONIC LITE gear box has the following characteristics

• Reduced consumption
• Increase of the vehicle´s load. It is a very robust gearbox prepared for bigger loads.

• Optimized comfort. The gear box always provides the adequate speed, for each moment, speed and type of road.

Applications

In type of gearbox it´s installed, usually, in vehicles with light and mid loads, and sometimes it´s installed in garbage collector vehicles. Normally are in delivery vehicles. The brands that normally assemble this gearbox are: IVECO, HYUNDAI, VOLSKWAGEN AG, XAMEN, EICHER Gmbh, TATA…

Maintenance

Every system of gears need a proper maintenance and lubrication, because it will prolong the life of the internal components. In this case in particular, we have, a part from all the internal system of gear, a group of electronic elements which provides for system to be automatized, and so, it will have to follow these guidelines:

• Oil and filter changes in the gearbox (the interval will depend of the type of oil used, see list for authorized oil in the section “Documentation”
• Oil changes in the selector deposit, type PENTOSIN
• Avoid humidity in the whole electronics system of the gearbox, like the GS3, the internal part of the servo clutch and the electric system.
• Pay attention to the compressor and the dryer´s vehicle
• Check for oil levels and possible escapes to avoid seizures in the gear box, for lack of lubrication.
