Longer life. Not using synchronizes and the discs ‘clutch, provides the system to last longer.
Comfort optimization. The gearbox always provides the perfect speed for each moment.
There is not clutch pedal, therefore the speed will be electronically selected if you choose the automatic mode.
Sensitive regulartion in manoeuvre.
The most common application in this type of ZF gearbox is the one used for the transportation of goods, although it is also used for other means. The manufacturer´s spectrum (OEM) of industrial vehicles (IV) which assemble this type of ZF gearbox is quite wide. Standing out: IVECO, MAN, LIEBHERR, GROVE, TEREX, KALMAR.
Every gear system needs maintenance and a perfect lubrication; this is the key to keep the internal components well preserved. In this case in particular, we have, apart from all the internal gear system, a set of electronic elements that allow the system to be automatized and therefore, it will have to have a special care:
Oil and filter change of the gearbox (the interval will depend on the type of oil used see oils list in Documentation tab)
Avoid dampness in the whole electric system of the gear box, as for example the GS3 unit, the servo clutch and the electric installation.
Pay attention to the compressor and the vehicles´dryer.
Check the oil level and posible leaks from time to time to avoid a brake down of the gearbox for a lack of lubrication.
