In this case, a part from all the internal system of discs of the clutches, a group electronic elements (turn the system into automatic) and a valves system and reels that need special care:

• Oil and filter changes in the gearbox (the interval will depend of the type of oil used, see list for authorized oil in the section “Documentation”
• Try to avoid dampness in all the electronic system of the gear box, switchboard and electronic installation.
• Make periodic controls in the oil level (with the engine stopped) and check for possible escapes to avoid seizure for lacking lubrication.
• Check the elements who provide entry signs to the gear box, because this can cause the loos of comfort in the gears.

The ECOMAT gear box, had and still have various applications: passanger´s transport in cities, goods transports in garbage collector´s trucks, transport of soldiers for Defence applications and many more apprications like for example, cranes, Public Work machinery, etc…. The main OEM who install this ZF model are: IRISBUS, MAN, SCANIA, EVOBUS, VOLVO, IVECO, TEREX, LIEBHERR…

Maintenance

This system is based in the action of the discs of ferodo (clutches and internal breaks) and the contact between the teeth that are installed in the gear box ZF ECOMAT, needs a correct maintenance and lubrication, because that will depend on the life of the internal parts.
